The 2027 Prize

The 2027 Walter Scott Prize for Historical Fiction has now opened for submissions from publishers – click here to download the Prize Rules and a Submission Form.  The Prize closes for submissions on 31st October 2026.

Books of fiction published during the calendar year 2026 in the UK, Ireland or Commonwealth, and set at least 60 years ago, are eligible.   Please contact us if you have any enquiries.
